What to do when you're sad or feeling depressed?

It sucks when you have no one to talk to and you feel helpless, worthless and everything seems to be your fault, but it isn't. Yet you keep it from your most loved ones because you don't want them to get hurt. Well, whether it was a traumatic experience or you're feeling very sad, just know you are not alone. The only way you can help yourself is to distract yourself, which personally worked for me. Just remind yourself everything will be okay! Here are some tips I hope help you because these are things that I do!

1. Write it all out in a journal or diary and let it all out in writing and tears, sometimes crying does help.

2. Watch a sitcom like "Steinfeld" or "The Office". If you're too broke for Netflix no worries, just write the title of the show or movie on google with 123movie. e.g. "The Office season 1 episode 1 123 movies". Just remember to quickly close the pop-ups.

3. Avoid having comfort food, it will just make you feel worse after it is all done. You know you're not hungry, just drink A LOT OF WATER!

4. Cuddle with your pet if you have one.

5. Clean your room and perhaps your house. My personal favorite is vacuuming and mopping my entire house.

6. Write a list of all the things you are grateful for and think about all the happy memories you've had in the past.

7. Listen to music that will make you feel good.

8. Go for a walk and enjoy the nature.

9. Realize that you can use this sadness, to work harder toward your goals and make it the medicine to work harder. Use this to devote your time towards your hobbies. e.g. drawing, bullet journaling

10. Talk to a friend and try to help them stay positive if you don't want to talk about your problems, no worries, you making them feel better will instantly make you feel better.

Why I love Sebastian Stan?

It all began when I watched Captain America: The First Avenger, something about his character being the villain and the super hot bromance with Chris Evans. Lately, he is all I've been thinking about and here are the reasons why.

                                                 1. His eyes are soo big and fabulous.

                                         2. He knows how to look good in EVERYTHING!

Bare English & Co.- Lip Balm Review

If you're like me, you cannot stand having chapped lips. It just irritates me and makes me feel weird, as though everyone is looking at my chapped lips. Therefore, I end up biting and licking my lips, but the result of that feels even worse. One day, while I was scrolling at the drugstore (Pharmaprix), I saw the "lip balm" that appealed to me. For some reason words like "organic and vegan" on any packaging makes me want to purchase the item (even though I am not vegan) like even the style of the packaging (#marketing) like Kiehl's lip balm or the Rosebud lip salve, these products look so fancy, if you know what I mean. The brand is Bare English & Co. which is strange, because I have never heard of this brand before. Honestly, what I think about this product is that it would be a great lip moisturizer for the fall. The reason for that is because it soaks up your lips like in 2 minutes and they feel like the softest pillows. After you apply it, your lips look like they have lip gloss on them, but really they don't because it is not sticky and it tastes like pomegranate tea, which is nice?

Have you ever heard or tried anything from this brand, let me know! I really hope you enjoyed this blog and who's excited for the weekend? I know I am, because it is the last weekend before I start school hurray! (and a little teary)
Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed!

Doughnuts Recipe

These doughnuts tastes and smells wonderful! It reminds me of  "Tim Hortons" doughnuts, the one with chocolate syrup on top, ooo just so yummy. Except these are homemade and there is only one problem, which is you are going to need a lot of patience, because they take a while, but trust me it's worth it. Another thing I love using this recipe for is to make soft pretzels, like the ones at Mr.Pretzel and they tastes the same, which is great!

Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 1/8 cups whole milk, warmed (aka 1 cup and 2 tablespoons)
  • 3 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 sticks unsalted butter, melted ( aka 1/2 cup and 2 tablespoons)
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour (more if needed, for dusting)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
Amount: 24 doughnuts
Instructions:

  • In a large bowl, add sugar, warm milk and yeast. (Leave it aside, until yeast starts to bubble, 5-10 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, melt the butter and then add eggs, whisk constantly. Add to the large bowl of milk/sugar/yeast mixture.
  • Continue mixing and add flour and salt to the bowl, and put the flour in 1/2 cup at a time.
  • After everything is evenly incorporated, mix for an extra 5 minutes.
  • Then take another large bowl and lightly oil the bowl, take the dough and put it in the lightly-oiled bowl. Cover it with plastic wrap and keep in the refrigerator for 8-12 hours or overnight.
  • After, put the dough on a floured surface and roll it to about 1/4-inch thick. Use a doughnut cutter or a Bath and Body Works room spray lid and the top of a glass.
  • After finishing the doughnut shapes, place a tea towel lightly on top and leave it for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. (For them to rise)

Cooking:

  • Add your vegetable oil, to medium-high heat and take a little piece from the doughnut drop in the frying pan and check if it sizzles immediately, which means your oil is ready.
  • Carefully flip them when you see one side is turning a light brown, this process should take only about 60 seconds.
  • Place them on a paper towel plate, and voila you are finished, if they look a little imperfect, don't worry it just shows how unique and special, every single doughnut is, as well as extra light and fluffy.
Hope you enjoyed!

      Blueberry Chocolate Chip Muffins

I thought making the perfect blueberry muffins would be the toughest dessert to make. I was wrong and I am really impressed how it turned out the first try! I would absolutely make it again and my friends and family really love these blueberry chocolate chip muffins and I hope you do as well.

      Ingredients needed:

      • 1/2 cup of milk
      • 1 1/2 tsp white vinegar
      • 1 3/4 cups of all-purpose flour
      • 3/4 cup of white sugar
      • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
      • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
      • 1 cup of fresh blueberries
      • 6 tablespoons of vegetable oil
      • 1 large egg
      • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
      • 1 cup of chocolate chips (or as much as you want)
      Instructions:
      • In a small bowl or in a large mug combine milk and vinegar and put it aside. (buttermilk substitution)
      • In a large bowl add and mix flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Then add blueberries and chocolate chips and toss and coat them, so the blueberries and chocolate chips don't sink to the bottom, when liquid ingredients are added.
      • Add the mixture of milk and vinegar, oil, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
      • Mix very gently, just until everything in properly incorporated and until you cannot see anymore dry ingredients (NO OVER MIXING) and leave it aside for 15 minutes.
      Baking:
      - For your oven, grease your muffin tin, and equally add batter to 8 muffin spots. Add to oven at preheated 450*F for 10 minutes, then reduce to 350*F and let it bake for an extra 10 to 12 minutes. Let it cool and serve!
-For cupcake tins, bake at 450*F for 5 minutes and then, reduce heat and let bake for an extra 4-6 minutes. Which will make 20-24 mini muffins.

      Hope you enjoyed!
